Thursday, June 23, 6-8 PM:   Pastor & Spouses Dinner at Salem Mennonite Church   Pastors, Chaplains, District Pastors, Board Members and their spouses enjoyed a catered meal while hearing from Robert "Jack" Suderman.

Sunday, June 26 - Participants were invited to stay after the Annual Meeting to worship with one of the local churches:   Comunidad Cristiana de Vida Nueva, Jerusalén  Iglesia Menonita, Salem Mennonite or Western Mennonite.

Robert (Jack) Suderman has served the Anabaptist faith community over many years and in various ways.  From 1968-1984, Suderman taught at schools and colleges in Canada and Bolivia.  He was the founding director of CLARA, the Latin American Anabaptist Resource Center in Colombia.  Suderman was also the founder of Mennonite Biblical Seminary of Colombia, where he served from 1989-1994.  He went on to serve as executive secretary of Mennonite Church Canada Witness from 2000-2005.  Suderman was appointed as the general secretary of Mennonite Church Canada in 2005 and recently retired in August 2010.  While serving as general secretary, he also offered his time to do theological teaching as part of the Mennonite World Church (MWC) Global Gift Sharing project.  He conducted teaching sessions in Honduras (2007), Philippines (2008) and Ethiopia (2010).  Suderman currently serves on MWC’s Peace Commission as assistant secretary and as co-secretary of the MWC/Seventh Day Adventist conversations.
