Call for submissions!

The Mennonite, Inc. welcomes original submissions and contributions for the October 2017 print magazine issue and corresponding online content focusing on Scripture: Texts that move and shape you. Submissions are due no later than August 1, 2017.   The Mennonite welcomes written reflections—personal stories, biblical or theological reflections, poetry and more (800-1200 words), as well as original photography, multimedia products (including, but not limited to, original song or music recordings, music playlists, videos and vlogs) and artwork on the theme. Learning Opportunity for Youth

The Mennonite, Inc. is teaming up with Michele Hershberger, Professor of Bible at Hesston College to offer a series of four virtual Bible studies for Junior and Senior High youth groups in June. Whether your youth groups are headed to the Mennonite Church USA convention in Orlando this summer or not, they’ll be sure to benefit from Michele’s four-week Bible study series focusing on the theme “Love is a Verb.” Michele will offer input on four Wednesdays:  June 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 8-9 p.m. Eastern/5-6 p.m. Pacific. Youth wanted for participation in the Future Church Summit in Orlando

Step Up – Youth wanted for participation in the Future Church Summit in Orlando About 40 spots remain open for the Step Up program – an opportunity for high school age youth to participate in the Future Church Summit at this summer’s Mennonite Church USA Convention in Orlando. This opportunity was initially open to only three youth per conference. Now, any interested youth attending convention may participate. Participants will attend an orientation seminar and be included in table groups during the July 6-8 Future Church Summit.
